Born in Hokkaido in 1976.
Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art and completed its graduate program. While serving as an assistant at the university, she taught weaving—also in therapeutic settings—before becoming a technical specialist at Kanazawa College of Art. She runs a private weaving class and leads activities at local elementary schools, sharing the appeal of weaving across generations. Her works express the beauty of aligned threads by interweaving plastic sheets into varied forms. She also undertakes costume making and repairs, including shibori-dyed outfits for taiko drummers at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Closing Ceremony.
1976年 北海道生まれ。金沢美術工芸大学卒業、同大学院修了。同大学で助手を務めながら、染織工房の講師として経験を重ね、作業療法の一環としての織を教える。現在は金沢美術工芸大学で技術専門員として勤務。個人の織物教室を開講し、地域の小学校のクラブ活動での指導も行い、子どもから大人まで幅広い世代に織の魅力を伝える。作品は、糸が整然と並ぶ美しさを、プラ板を織り込み、様々な形に表現化している。染織作家としての活動の傍ら、裁縫技術の研鑽を積み、衣装制作や修繕の依頼も手がける。東京オリンピック閉会式「東京音頭」和太鼓伴奏の絞り染め衣装を担当

I would like to explore new combinations such as transforming designs based on original drawings from painters, reinterpreting woven materials with laser-cut alternative media, and creating frames from unconventional materials.
図案を絵画領域の作家の原案からデザイン化したり、織り込む素材をレーザーカッターで異素材に置き換えたり、額装を異素材で制作したりと、新しい組み合わせに挑戦してみたいと考えています。
